Hey everyone,

This is James Blunt. I'm on tour at the moment in the U.S and I'm getting the ball rolling on the recording of my second album. I'll be using this page for regular updates on touring activity and recording/

Sorry you haven't heard from me in such a long time but I've been up to lot. Check out below for all the great stuff I've been up to.

CLEVELAND - OCT 18th

An early start for some morning radio shows gave a rather surreal quality to the day, as I was still drunk. Zoo radio was never a more appropriate phrase. When we were here earlier in the year I struggled with my voice. This time it was a pleasure to be able to hit all the notes and perform in front of a very receptive crowd. A quiet night was had by the band, as we retired to the bus to watch a movie and eat some Chinese food. How romantic. Tomorrow is a big soccer day.

LOUISVILLE - OCT 17th

A very wet day off yesterday was brightened by a trip to the cinema to see the Science of Sleep, the new film by Michel Gondry. Visually stimulating, it failed to keep one of our party awake as its rich dreamlike quality sent him straight to sleep. The Palace Theatre has a stunning interior of old southern artistry that was a sight to behold. The crowd were very enthusiastic and the auction raised a total of $12,800 from two very generous couples who could not be separated in the auction as time ran out.

LOUISVILLE - OCT 16th 2006

We are back on the road. This is the last leg of the Back to Bedlam World tour 2006. Since I have written last we finished up in Europe; the band and I went to the World cup Final (which was actually the first ever football match I'd ever been to. You might as well start with the best); and I've been away writing a few songs. I flew to New York for a night in August to go to the MTV VMA's. Can I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the voting that you put in. I had asked Billy to vote for me, but he said no, so I'm very glad you did. Thank you. I had never expected to ever be at such an award ceremony, let alone win a Moon Man. It was a great surprise.I've been happily writing away and now that we are back on the road, I've slipped in a couple of new songs for you to hear. I really like them, and they're fun for us to play as a band. The welcome back we had here in North America has been amazing. The audiences in Canada really got behind us. The larger venues there still seemed like intimate rooms. As some of you will have seen, we've got a whole new production going on which I feel ties in with the songs. It's a big old show now. As a band, our favorite bit is during "Wise Men" when a small pencil camera projects an image of Ben, our guitarist, onto the screen behind. It's supposed to be of his guitar during the solo, but if he stands just a little too close, you just get a huge shot of his crotch on the screen. For those of you who are wondering, it's a cucumber wrapped in tinfoil that's down his trousers. We've had a great reception in new and old cities and it's been great to catch up with some names from the board. Of course a highlight has to be the 2 nights at Radio City. Having been there at the VMA's a month before, I knew the layout of the venue and was glad to have the steps fromt the stage to the first mezzanine so I could run around around and threaten the audience with the gong-bonger. It was a great Axl Rose moment. The Charity Auction is going really well and I am amazed at how generous some people are. In about 10 shows so far, we have already raised over $30,000 for Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders). There are still another 30-odd shows to go! The money raised is going to be used by MSF to help in the Central African Republic (Darfur), where it will be invaluable, so once again, thank you so much for being part of this. Today, we are also announcing an extra date in Los Angeles. It will be at the House of Blues, and all the profits will go to MSF.While we're talking about world issues... please check out the movie An Inconvenient Truth if you haven't already. It's even more important than a celebrities' choice of clothing to an award ceremony. Only joking... Nothing's THAT important!!! Anyway, it's a really good film that is more relevant than ever right now.For those of you who are coming to the remaining gigs this tour, I look forward to seeing you there, and please be gentle with Billy in Vegas!

ATLANTA - OCT 15th

The sun has stayed with us though it gets cold at night. A peaceful Sunday in the south was marked by a really fun show to a very warm crowd. It’s so nice to see audiences enjoying Starsailor who many don't know about, but just appreciating a good band playing a good set. Our reception was very inspiring and was followed by a visit to a country music club run by friends of Karl which made a nice change. I’ve always enjoyed our trips to Atlanta, and this time was another to remember.

CHARLOTTE - OCT 14th

A healthy 400 mile drive south meant getting up and staggering into some very pleasant sunshine as we exited the bus. As the last few days caught up with everyone we had a very mellow Saturday catching up with the UK soccer news and other domestic tittle tattle. The show was well received but to be honest not the best we’ve ever played. The crowd were enthusiastic and for a State we had never visited before, we were looked after very well.

COLUMBIA - FRIDAY 13th

Woke up in the beautiful surrounds of Maryland for the last outdoor event of the year at the Merriweather Pavilion which is a large theatre style seating area and a huge lawn behind. It’s a great setting, but the cold was staggering. I had been warned before we went on stage that many people had bought duvets and blankets and as we started the show it was around 11- 12 Celsius so our breath was hanging in the air. The audience responded by getting up and dancing around to stay warm and although it got colder and colder and harder to play our strangled instruments, we enjoyed it. The cold may have fused a little of my brain as I ended up making several outrageously lewd statements. It happens. We raised a new record of $8,600 for the auction this evening and that left everyone with a warm glow.

NEW YORK - OCT 12th

A day off and a private party to celebrate a close friends birthday!

NEW YORK - OCT 11th

More work to do in the morning and then a trip to one of my biggest supporters in New York - the folks at Z100 Radio in New Jersey. I have been in several times and they have a sensational view across the Hudson River to Manhattan. On September 11th, they were live on air as the planes hit the World Trade Centre and bore remarkable witness as those tragic events unfolded in front of their studio window. Back for a sound check and some filming with Access Hollywood who came to do a feature on the tour and then a chat with Victoria Newton from Britain’s The Sun newspaper. The second show was possibly even more fun than the first and was a great pleasure again. As we left Radio City in a torrent of rain, we headed for an aftershow party at a club called Bed on 27th street. It was full of beds. The night finished somewhat later than yesterday…

NEW YORK - OCT 10th

A full day of promotional activity before the sound check, New York is always a hectic place to visit, work-wise, but invariably good fun as we all have friends here. Radio City Music Hall is a magnificent venue and all the crew work extra hard to get the show in. It takes up an entire city block between 50th and 51st street and almost spans from 6th to 5th avenue. A tour of the stage hydraulics under the stage that were installed many years ago is amazing. The New York Fire Safety Officer didn’t clear all of our set so we had to buy in new carpeting for the stage and use a curtain from the dressing room as part of the set. It was a great first gig in New York, though. We really enjoyed ourselves and were humbled by the great crowd reaction. Afterwards, we met up with lots of people over from the UK and our good New York friends at Atlantic records as well as the many ex-pats we know in New York. In an amazing act of group responsibility, the night ended for everyone at 2am so we would still be fresh for the next day. Someone sold pictures of me dancing in a nightclub for a few quid.

WALLINGFORD - OCT 9th

Up with the lark for the Regis and Kelly show and a special early morning version of Goodbye My Lover that got cut off on the East coast by a presidential announcement on North Korea. Then a ride up to Wallingford in the beautiful Connecticut countryside to the Chevrolet Theatre where we enjoyed a beautiful autumn day. Despite a large number of cars in the foyer to distract people the auction went to two lovely ladies from the message board for $2850. We left swiftly after the show for New York City and our favoured hotel and managed to catch last orders at the bar next door.

PROVIDENCE - OCT 7th

We are at the wonderfully named Dunkin’ Donuts Arena, home to the local basketball team. The day started with one of the most important tasks to date: manoeuvring the bus to make sure the satellite would get reception for us to watch the Euro 2008 football qualifiers. It was a great day for Brian and Mark, our Scottish crewmembers. Not so much fun for the rest of us, as England once more flattered to deceive. The show was good though, with the band finally feeling that everything was gelling and they were all back in the groove after our summer break. The auction raised $1,400 from two local physicians who support the charity, and to finish the night off, we popped out to a local microbrewery after the show for a few tasty home brewed pints before setting off on the bus again.

CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY OCT 6TH

We hit a recurring problem with travel in North America.Despite having confirmed seats on the flight to Philadelphia, we were told it was overbooked and we may not travel on the flight we needed to catch to make soundcheck. Eventually, the Tour Manager bargained our way onto the flight, but it left a sour taste over the bizarre ticketing practices of major airlines. We have the same problem back home sometimes, but I’ve only experienced it here. Has anyone tried to sue? “They’re selling you a place on the flight that doesn’t actually exist”, said Mike, the soundman. After a 2-hour delay, we eventually made it to New Jersey. The pouring rain did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd, who were great. Karl, my drummer, decided to start the set before the intro track, Ghost Town, had even begun, which caused much amusement to the rest of the band and crew, and great embarrassment to himself. We regrouped and began at the right moment and the audience didn't seem to put out by the bizarre start. Several other Spinal Tap moments followed, the best being when i kicked over bens pedal board and pulled the lead out of his guitar as he started his solo in So Long Jimmy. He swears it was his best solo of all time. No one else in the world heard it.The auction rasied $2,000 dollars and was won by two of the US boardies. We had hot wings and beer on the bus and set off…

TORONTO OCT 5TH

TELEVISION-TASTIC An extremely busy day of promotion starting with a Canada AM performance and finishing 12 hours later with a 9 song duo show live at the Rehearsal Rooms for Bravo TV. Somewhere in between the two were 24 interviews. It was fun for me and Beardy to get back to an intimate duo setting after the three arena shows. Earlier in the day, I was special guest on MOD for Much Music where a pumpkin pie tasting ended up in a whipped cream incident with the female host. She was keen to push the boundaries of early evening television. A similar experience on MTV that day drew me to the conclusion that the Canadians are great fun but mad.

TORONTO OCTOBER 3RD

The Air Canada Centre, home of the Maple Leafs and a very impressive arena like Montreal. We are expecting over 11000 fans tonight. After some TV interviews in the afternoon we got down to a long soundcheck where everything is starting to gel and feel right. This was followed by a signing session in a new Best Buy store. A very efficient local team managed to get more than 250 people past me in under an hour for a handshake autograph and photo. Its amazing the different numbers of ways people spell the same name, proving it’s always worth checking. A couple of our old skool Canadian fans from the message board took the time to stop by and say hello. It’s always good to see the familiar faces. The show was great fun and the whole band voted it the best of the three for us. The response to new songs like Annie and 1973 has been great and the Toronto crowd, like all the Canadian audiences were very responsive. It's a day off tomorrow so after the formalities were over and the auction winners were taken care of ($1400CDN raised) we partied at the Century Lounge and what I remember of it was fun.

OTTAWA OCTOBER 2ND

Another ice hockey arena but a bit smaller than Montreal, its home to the Senators apparently and it’s out on a highway in a very isolated locale. Second nights are traditionally where things can go wrong as the pressure from the first night is off, but this show was good fun and all went smoothly. The auction for MSF went for a very generous $2,600CDN and that's really encouraging. A lively after-party with some old friends of the band involved a jar of honey being put to a more imaginative use than the hot lemon drinks it usually goes in. It’s getting cold and late at night as we leave for Toronto.

MONTREAL OCTOBER 1ST

We had a rude awakening at the Canadian border, where all 23 of our touring party had to undergo an interview with the immigration staff at 7am, having got to bed at between 4 and 5am. This delayed our arrival into Montreal so the day became even more hectic than usual for the crew. Immigration always pull over the tour buses because they want autographs, and smiling for border-guard pictures is not so easy that early. First nights of tours are always adrenaline fuelled affairs for the team. Tonight we were launching a whole new show and stage set design to a sold out 13,000 capacity ice hockey arena the Bell Center. The stage was like a big new toy which no one knew for sure if it worked or not. We were also debuting two brand new songs, Annie and 1973 being played live by the band for the first time as well as a new cover version of Breakfast in America, the old Supertramp tune. The set is a complex affair of drapes and curtains that fly in and out leaving the end look of a 60 foot wide curved screen for the final video footage. The touring staff pulled it all together amazingly well for the first night. The band were all keyed up to go and play the new songs on the stage and although there were some usual first night glitches, mainly from me, we had a storming show and an amazing friendly response from the Montreal crowd. An impromptu party followed. It’s best to over-indulge early on in the tour. The charity auction was won by two charming girls, who had seen both previous shows in Montreal. They made a generous donation to Medecins Sans Frontieres of $850 CDN.

BOSTON SEPTEMBER 30TH

Playing at a radio station party the Mix Fest in Boston, we were part of a line up featuring an old friend, KT Tunstall, and amazingly, Meatloaf, who was a late replacement for an act that had dropped out. Everyone plays a short set at these things, so the crowd got 40 minutes of almost all of Back to Bedlam and a cover of Where is My Mind (The Pixies hail from Boston). So I played about 10 songs in 40 minutes. Meatloaf played 3 songs in 40 mins… We had to leave swiftly after coming off stage to drive to Montreal for the first proper show of the tour

NEW YORK SEPTEMBER 29TH

I dropped in from London to MTV in New York to appear on TRL to premiere the Goodbye My Lover video to America. Having been away from the business for a couple of months, it was fun to be welcomed back in so warmly. I have a tan, a new jacket, and I’m ready to kick off the Fall Tour… We exited past the herd of photographers and took the train to Boston.

Phew!

I hope that wasn't too much for you guys. I've been really busy recently. So keep tuned to the blog page for all my latest news.

In the meantime, here's from photos from the tour...

yay !!!
haha i was hoping you would get a blog, well no i actually didnt think you would, i mean i dont even know how i came to have one haha, but anyways a long time ago i got one, back in june i think, and it was around the time when the whole burst of negative press was put up about you, and i had to say something, so i wrote for you on here. haha its kind of funny, i was so serious at the time.
but yes, really cool to see you here !! im also on the boards, im ginagm2. i actually havent been on in a while (as in a week, but for us boardies, a day is a reasonably long time) but i miss seeing you and the band live. haha im pretty sure if you saw me, or if paul saw me you wouldnt know me, but maybe remember seeing me in the crowd. i was at earthfest, me and my friend were the tools who asked you to sign our wristbands, that, as you pointed out, were a piece of junk, sorry again about that, but on the bright side i cherish it now! hmm kiss concert, and your march venue to the orpheum in boston, i didnt really do anything that would make me stand out. oh yeah and at earthfest again i was the brilliant one in the front row who threw the rose at you that missed your face by an inch, i didnt know i could throw that far.. kind of hoping you didnt notice that either haha. i met paul at earthfest too, he might remember me.. fore i dont think i was able to get much valid english out to hold a conversation, but he did try. then at mix fest and your venue at providence, i literally had the same seats! center third row, i was with the same friend both times, and both times we yelled and flailed about in our attempts to dance, yesss. we never sat down. at both concerts we screamed 'beardy we love you !' and both times he noticed ! oh i love you guys, i always know i can act like a fool. at providence i had an amazing time, i watched the auction and cheered them on, yes we were the only people cool enough to cheer the auction on ;). and then at the end we all busted up to the stage and you touched our hands haha yes, it was a swell night, but my friend went a little off the wall when we went to the stage as she was SCREAMING at the top of her lungs (in some really high pitched voice..) for paul to touch her hand, he looked and luaghed. I later asked her just why?, and she told me, if you make a scene they will remember you. hmm im pretty sure the memory stuck in that case..
WELL I WISH YOU, PAUL, KARL, BEN, MALCOLM, BILLY, AND EVERYONE who helps you guys stay AMAZING, THE BEST OF LUCK WITH THE REST OF THE TOUR! and with making your next album, and if the new album sounds anything like your new songs, im sure we are all in for another amazing soundtrack!! take all the time you need, we dont wait we anticipate!! you really have an amazing fan base from what iv seen (as im sure you know), and im so glad to be a part of it.

Seeing this blog is quite exciting! Thank you so much for continuing to give so much to us, your fans :) I am amazed that you find the time to do so much while on tour.
Like many of your other fans, I travelled far to see you perform...I flew from Jamaica to see you in Toronto in October and had the most wonderful concert experience ever! I'll be seeing you again SOON I hope.
Continue to have fun on tour and thanks again for making time for your blog.
Hugs to you!

Hello lovey James!

So it all finally ends soon! Bet you need another vacation! Can't wait to see how how your travels have inspired you, on your second album. It was great seeing you at Radio City, and at the "Bed" afterparty. You were a very busy man that night! I was right, your friend's picture-taking skills are quite sad. Better luck next time! In the meantime, safe travels to you and the boys. Enjoy the remainder of the tour, as we bid you sweet "adieu". So Long Jimmy...

We gave you on stage, just after the gig, when you and the band salute the public... do you remeber ? We'll wish know what you think about this FAN BOOK, do you read it ??

James, i know you must be busy... but if you have 5 minuts... :-)

Hi !
Cannot believe that you have written all this personally. Never mind. If so: thank you very much for letting us know where and how you are. For me you are the best singer at present. I have seen you at Blenheim Palace in Oxford 1st of July and at Tanzbrunnen in Cologne 11th of July. And what can I say: I loved it. Your music is terrific and also your show is so great. I loved the moment where you stood there - took a view over the audience and then you smiled. This made my heart beat up and made me grateful. You seems to be a very interesting person (what a pity that I will never know whether you are indeed). Thousands of other people are writing the same. Nothing new for you. But be assured: I love you for your music, for your lyrics and for who you seem to be. Thank you James for singing for us. Much Love to you - you are so cool.

heehee - I think I just saw the tin-foiled cucumber on the pic!

Was wondering if you were being protected and defended enough, but as I remember Brian, Coley and Robert seem to do an exellent job of that already.

I suppose the real "beefy bodyguards" are needed when you're back home in England and perhaps in Ibiza.
I think this is a great idea and like how you write like a sort of journal. I like what Karl has done to his site too and enjoy little daily sentences.

It's just very matter of fact and that's what I like because you don't have to be Mr. Funny or Mr. Entertainer all the time. If you're pissed off I'd like to hear how pissed off you are,or sad or knackered. That's real.

I was thinking of starting my own blog, now I got to open a blog account, but I think it would be of no interest to anyone and take away from my valuable time on the Board!! WHO KNOWS! otherwise you are always welcome to drop by my MySpace or Youtube.
This has made winter much more appealing.

G'day James

well from reading your blogs i can see that, even with the embarrasing moments, you have managed to turn it into a flow of creative words...maybe inspiration for a few more songs. I went to your concert in South Australia and i found it to be quite inspirational - especially in your 'no bravery' song with the clip of (i think South Africa?) the conditions they live in but with these brilliant smiles on their faces.....i'm slowly working my way over there....one day i will get there and i may even leave you a blog about it....that's if you check these things. oh and from now on...when you get stuck at border patrol....take some photos of the security guards with you and your band...and post them...probably make the experience more of a game than a chore.

well James, take it easy and enjoy the ride.

Don't let that put you off keeping the blog - it's very important and appreciated by most of us.

I wonder if those Huey,Dewie, Luie and Phooey(?) left you in one piece. You've not written in here since, so I'm guessing they tanked you up with "slippery nipples" and kidnapped you! Hmm, sounds like a wisemaen video I once saw.

I am positive you hear the same comments over and over, and hardly have the time to read them, but of course I think you are an incredible musician. I have seen both of your shows in Chicago, in March and October. I was pretty close to the front in the most recent Chicago show, and watched as the security guy took you down by mistake. I am sorry to say my husband says he fells he got his money's worth for being dragged to see you. It is not that he dislikes you in any way, I believe he has grown accustomed to your music by now, it may not sit well that I would actually leave him for you if it came to it. Just kidding, but he may be sick of the whole infatuation.

I wish you the best of luck. I loved your new song "Annie". Everytime you come to Chicago, I will be there!

Love,

Hello James,

This is Tammy (boardie name: girlwtihasmile) in Calgary, Canada. Wow, what can I say that hasn't already been said? First, thank you for making music that YOU love. When it truly comes from the heart, it shows - and it works. Along with all who've posted here, I eagerly anticipate your next album & many more in the future as you progress through your art. Thanks for being yourself & giving music fans a much needed breath of fresh air.

Second, you mentioned @ the Bravo! taping how you strive with every gig, no matter how big or small, to make that connection & eye contact. Well, I want you to know that we feel it, even those of us who can't quite see it. Myself, being legally blind with 6% vision (that's with eyeglasses on), I still felt it at the November 3rd show in Calgary. I was the curly dark haired girl in mid-2nd row slightly to your right with a constsant smile on my face. And although I couldn't tell the exact direction of your gaze, I just felt this energy from you during one of the times you stopped in front of us. It just felt like for one moment, we made eye contact, even if my eyes didn't quite know it, hehe! If you noticed someone up front occasionally using a monocular, that wasn't some perve, that was me! And I was a good girl, too, kept it focused on your face & guitar. ;) Just wanted to see those facial expressions everyone raves about. :p

Wishing I could be there in Vegas for the big finale & already planning to renew my passport for next tour! One show isn't enough!

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule for this blog. Have a good, long rest once the tour's over (Ok, not too, too long). :)

Take care & lots
of Canadian hugs,
Tammy

James Blunt,

Once again,I post you a little message because I think of you each days and I can't imagine the luck that American fans should have at this moment to see you performing on stage!

I can't believe that you have written all this personally. Never mind. If so: thank you very much for letting us know where and how you are....
I'm sure you hear the same words over and over, and hardly have the time to read them because you might be busy but anyway,I would like to tell you once again that you have changed my life and my vision for the music...I'm captivating by each song, your voice is amazing and of course I like the person you are:you seem funny...This is the first time I'm on a fan site with my 23 years old!
I have a picture of you in my bedroom...is it a shame?
What are you doing to me James?

Well I hope you will be in France soon in a broadcast TV or anywhere...I'll be there with Nico,my boyfriend who admires you too...

I send you my love...You are the ray of sunshine of Paris...

I'm not going to be very original!
Thank you for doing this and hope to see you soon in Paris! I'd love to hear the new songs live...and on the new cd ;)
I'm not vry often on the message board these days...you know how it's like! Lots of work to be done and I've just moved in one of those cute old country house that English people love to buy in France! It's a very small village but the bigger towns are not far, and Paris either! So if you happen to want to come and visit me, feel free!!! And I'll be there for your next tour of course! But until then...
Take care , enjoy the last days of your US tour!

My love to you and the guys!

Hello James and the band!

I had the pleasure to see you perform in Detroit back in March (my Valentines' Day present) and it was absoultely the best present ever.

Unfortunately, I had to miss the current tour due to issues at home, but that will only make seeing you on the next tour that much more exciting!

I hope you all enjoyed your trip through Amish-Lands and got a chance to stop at the world's greatest music store "Woodwinds and Brasswinds" in South Bend, Indiana. You'll never see so many guitars and keyboards and drums! Candyland!!!

You only have one more performance - tonight in LV - I know you'll be giving all my boardie friends the time of their lives! Rock on JB!

Oh - And I just saw "An Inconvenient Truth" last week being shown at a Mennonite church here in Goshen --- What a sobering film. Let's hope more people start to understand global warming is more than the simply extinction of polar bears!

Love *ALL* the good work you do, James. You are truly inspiring.

And your music is heavenly too. :)

Hello,
I was at your Columbus show in May, I think. I had a great time. You probably dont remember this but i was the red-head in the front row, I talked to you at the end of your encore. Although I have no idea what you said it was late and well, im not going to make-up excuses we were all a little tipsy. A few weeks ago I saw you in chicago. That ballroom was really gorgeous. I hope you and probably petra had a good time at the Beverly Hilton. When I stayed I snuck into the ballroom, where they hold the grammys and sang, hey the mic. looked alittle dusty. I was such a tourist, I had to sit on all of the chairs backstage and use the sink in the bathroom. Well hope to see you again sometime. Best wishes to you and Petra, and good luck at the rest of your tour!

Hi James!

It's a warning, an evil sign - my J.B. message board doesn't appear any more and I'm taking it personal.

Aaargghhhh! fish out of water, it has become a way of life for well over a year to pop in and see what's occuring!!!!!!

Things haven't been this dire since.... well since, the server collapsed way back when.

So, instead I've been having a nosey at everone's myspaces which can be quite entertaining and inspiring (or not)

We people watchers never cease to be amazed atwhat it takes to make a world.
Would love to see what you would choose to put on your own private myspace (but only curious!)
Mine keeps changing, but I'm wondering if this is not what has caused my JB site to disappear -could be the compi is about to explode¨

As for blogs well, mine is just full of favourite vid clips.
I think I can't be motivated by a word like "blog" it sounds lazy and lethargic.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and so you know some of us come back here everyday just to see if you've written.

Tell our Bills, he's been caught on camera - the whole world is sharing this video clip. Nothing censored, only a meet with the Vegas boardies.

You take care now, there's somebody over in Switzerland thinking of you and wishing you well.
Got to dash, keep blogging,

James....your music has left a lasting impression on me. The lyrics are aparently written from the heart and soul. Being from an older generation, much of today's music is not very relevent to me. Your music hits the right cords. When is your next visit to South Florida??
I would enjoy a live show.

Your music has been impressive. Your have made me a fan thru your deeply emotional music. I see a reflection of personal experience and emotions created by circumstance. Thank you for sharing the lyrics with us.
Hope you get to South Florida again...a live concert would be great. Your music is relevent across the generation gaps that exist today. I can say this..since I'm 59.

I really enjoyed your concert in Cleveland. My sister and I tried to get the police officer at the door to take us backstage. Needless to say he wouldn't do it. We kept him, another officer and the other man with him quite entertained at the door until they let us in! By the way, did you hear someone yell out that they wanted to be your microphone? I can't wait until your next concert tour. Your cd really amazed me. I have never liked EVERY song on a cd until I heard your Back to Bedlam cd. Awesome and keep it up!

Hi, James!
I saw you in NYC at Radio City for the second show on October 11. I had to walk 14 long city blocks in that torrential down-pour to get to the concert. There aren't too many men that I would do that for, but you definitely made it well worth my while with your amazing performance that night! You and your band were outstanding! I have fallen head over heels in love with your voice and your music from the very first time I heard "You're Beautiful." You sing with such passion and conviction and your lyrics are simply heart-melting. Please don't ever lose that! I happen to be driving my car and listening to the radio the first time I heard "Good-Bye, My Lover." I was so moved by your voice and your words that it sent me into a sobbing frenzy! I had to pull off the road for a few minutes just so I could regain my composure! I kid you not!
I cannot wait for the next album and I look forward to seeing you in concert again very soon!! Best Wishes and no matter how big you continue to get, never lose sight of the music!

James Blunt-

We saw your Next Big Thing perfomance on June 2, 2006 (in Atlanta). We each bought a band shirt and Megan got a red keychain (it is in her purse). We have your Chasing Time DVD and your Back to Bedlam CD. We are the only ones at our school (and probably youngest fans) that beleive in your music, but no matter what bad things people have to say about you, we will always love and appreciate the work you have put into your songs and passion for music. We also appreciate your war effort by fighting for the UK. But we do have one question: when is your next album coming out?

P.S. When (I) Megan went to London, I was disappointed that the Cafe de Paris was a nightclub... I went to see the outside of it anyway and thought about the Wisemen video, which is awesome. But Anna and I both agree that Goodbye My Lover was the most emotional (but best) music video of yours.

Love Lots and Forever,

Anna and Megan :)

Mr. Blunt:

Sorry for the long comment last time, but we forgot an important detail about the concert... you may not remember, but we stood next to a lady that had a backstage pass. She told us that you had signed her left arm, and when she showed us your signature we were amazed at how it doesn't look like your name at all. But anyhow, she told us that we could meet you after the concert, but she later got into a bit of trouble with a security guard because she got waaaay to close to the stage. She had her pass taken away, which stunk.

Not to be a therapist or anything, but she mentioned that you were alone in your dressing before the concert and seemed very short, tense, and unhappy. She also mentioned that when she walked into the room, you looked up and said "Who the (h-e-double-hockeysticks) are you?" This might not be the exact thing you said to her, but if what she told us was true, don't ever worry about how a concert will go. Play (and sing) your best and always remember that people paid and took time to see you perform, so even if you do mess-up, we would both be surprised if someone would ever have the nerve to mention it!

Love Lots and Forever,

Anna and Megan :)

Your first album has given me lots of inspiration. I have listened to "You're beautiful" for approximately 2000 times. Some of my friends considered me crazy. But today, I managed to introduce all other B2B songs to some of them. They said you're such a passionate singer. So here we are. It is a real success!

We all know that you're now busy recording your new album. So don't give up and let the success go on. I wish your album would be released before October, which is the month of my birthday. Or maybe, you would come here and hold a concert! We're all looking forward to seeing you or/and your album!

I hope this doesn't show up twice. I thought I did it already but I wasn't "logged in".
Anyways,
My fiancee' was diagnosed with Leukemia June 09, 2006. After a long "stint" in the hospital, we came home and were napping on the couch when we heard you sing "Goodbye My Lover" on Oprah W. Neither one of us had ever heard of you before but we were sooo taken by that song. We bought the CD. We listened to it all the time until it became too "real". He passed away on Jan 11 2008. My son moved in with me. I was on my way out the door to go to the court house to change my name. (cause I should've been Cole) When I heard you on another talk show (Sorry I don't know which one) singing "Carry You Home".
I watched Bryan take his last breath and I had to make the call on when to stop them from trying to make his heart beat. Nothing makes sense to me now. NOTHING. But somehow through all of this, your songs comfort me. Keep doing what you do.
Thank You

My name is Claudia. I am from Brazil and your music is often played here in soap operas, making it quite popular. You should do a tour in Brazil and especially in Salvador (the city where I live). You would be very welcome!

You are awesome James! I won the auction in Toronto November 28th (again) and every time I meet you I am so impressed by how humble you are! I was most impressed by the fact that you could tell us where our donation was going. Not just that it was donated to the Doctors without Borders but that it would be used in the Congo where it is needed at this time. It is so wonderful that you "give back" to the world. All people should take note and EVERYONE should give back in some way! Too many people just care about their "false self" and never go any deeper then that. You rock!

So continue to party like a rock star and enjoy what you are doing! Stay true to yourself and continue to give back!

Most of all - keep writing music from your heart!

You are my idol :)

Tammy

Se debe sentir las canciones para conseguir que nos lleguen.

Lástima que cuando estamos muy altos, no lleguemos a ver la pequeñas cosas que son realmente las que importan. En el cielo te pierdes, como pierdes la vista.
